Application

1.Lithium carbonate is used in the production of lithium compounds, enamel, and glass. It serves as a raw material for manufacturing lithium compounds and metallic lithium, and can be added as an electrolyte additive in aluminum smelting. It finds extensive applications in industries such as glass, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. Additionally, it is utilized in synthetic rubber, dyes, semiconductors, military defense, televisions, nuclear energy, medicine, and catalysts. It is employed in producing acoustic-grade single crystals and optical-grade single crystals. Furthermore, it is used in treating manic psychosis and manufacturing sedatives.

2. Battery-grade lithium carbonate is primarily used to prepare lithium cobalt oxide, lithium manganese oxide, ternary materials, and lithium iron phosphate—key cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. As the primary raw material for lithium batteries, battery-grade lithium carbonate has driven breakthroughs in transportation through advancing new energy technologies. Lithium-ion batteries serve as the core power source for new energy vehicles, playing a decisive role in their development. Lithium batteries manufactured with battery-grade lithium carbonate exhibit superior quality and performance. They reduce external interference, thereby extending their operational lifespan and increasing actual driving range, playing a crucial role in the advancement of the new energy vehicle sector.

3. In pharmacology, lithium carbonate suppresses manic episodes and effectively improves symptoms of schizophrenia and affective disorders. Crucially, it does not negatively impact the mental activities of healthy individuals during therapeutic application. Consequently, it is frequently employed in clinical settings for treating bipolar disorder. Pharmacologically, it primarily stabilizes serotonin levels to suppress symptoms, playing a positive role in pharmaceutical applications. Furthermore, it demonstrates effective therapeutic outcomes for conditions such as menorrhagia and uterine fibroids.
