Application
1. Widely used as a solvent, in organic synthesis, and pharmaceuticals.
2. Serves as a chromatographic analysis reagent and intermediate for synthesizing the pesticide fenbutatin. Can be directly used in manufacturing synthetic fibers, resins, and rubber. Also functions as a solvent for numerous polymer materials, precision magnetic tapes, and electroplating industries.
3. Used in the production of adiponitrile, adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine, succinic acid, and butanediol.
4. Tetrahydrofuran is a vital organic synthesis feedstock and an excellent solvent, particularly suitable for dissolving PVC and styrene-butadiene rubber.
5. Widely employed as a solvent in surface coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, printing inks, magnetic tapes, and film coatings, and also serves as a reaction solvent.
